In September 2014, DEWA announced the launch of an internship program aimed at providing students with the opportunity to gain practical experience working in the public sector. The program is divided into three parts: internships in customer service, billing and data management.

The first group of interns completed their placements in December 2014 and their feedback was highly positive.
